WWE Evolution is an upcoming women's professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event and WWE Network event, produced by WWE for their Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK brands. It will take place on October 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Uniondale, New York.[1] It will be the first pay-per-view in WWE history to consist solely of women's matches.

All of WWE's women's championships will be defended at the event. It will also feature the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament. The event was announced on the July 23, 2018 edition of Raw.[2]

Production

Background

On July 23, 2018, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H opened Raw to announce the creation of Evolution, an all-women's pay-per-view.[2][1] Hall of Famers Lita, Trish Stratus and Beth Phoenix are slated to take part in the event.[2]

Storylines

The card will consist of matches resulting from scripted storylines, with results predetermined by WWE's writers on the Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK brands.[3][4] Storylines will be produced on WWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, WWE NXT, and NXT UK.[5]

On August 18, a match between Alexa Bliss and Trish Stratus was scheduled for Evolution.[6]
