I hate to say "welcome" after so long, but I will say "thanks" for your contributions to prion and other articles such as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Have you seen this? It would be nice to gave a green check mark in the error table next to 'prion'. Anyhow, thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. --JWSchmidt 01:55, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject: Neuroscience

Welcome! I'm always happy to see an educated specialist join the group! Keep an eye out for any comments on the project, and read through the talk page a bit to see if there are any outstanding issues that catch you eye. Cheers and happy editing! NowCommons: File:Raakkyla church.jpg

File:Raakkyla church.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Raakkyla church.jpeg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Raakkyla church.jpeg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 15:37, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA reassessment of Prion

I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. You are being notified as you have made a number of contributions to the article. I have found some concerns which you can see at Talk:Prion/GA1. I have placed the article on hold whilst these are fixed. Thanks. Jezhotwells (talk) 21:28, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IC Wikisoc!

Dear Purple, my name is Vinesh Patel, a 5th Year medic at Imperial. I'm trying to start an Imperial College Wikipedia society, presenting to the union by the end of the month. Would you be interested?

I got your username from the Category: Wikipedians by alma mater: Imperial College London page.

Here is a link demonstrating my work so far: http://www2.imperial.ac.uk/blog/reporter/2011/01/21/wikipedia-society/

My team and I want to get people working in groups for edits. Non-academic and academic edits would be great to work on in groups – an IC Wikipedia soc would be cool! This has already been achieved in the States but we would be the first student society in the UK. http://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_student_clubs. We are also pursuing lots of other things – research into Wikipedia use, GLAM wiki stuff with local museums, using Wikipedia in teaching.

Whether you are a current student or alumnus, I think it would be great to get a community linked together from Imperial, which can give so much to the world’s free information because of the knowledge base here – and have fun doing it!

Myself and 6 other students are holding events at South Kensington campus Wed 9th and 16th; please get in touch at my talk page or e-mail to get into the movement in whatever capacity you can – you would be most welcome.Vinnypatel (talk) 02:03, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invite, it does sound really interesting, but I'm afraid I can't commit the time to it at the moment. Maybe in the future. Good luck! Purple 02:22, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
