Help

Can you help me make an article for Cyclone Rhonda (1997)? CyclonicStormYutu (talk) 18:31, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CyclonicStormYutu, Yes. I won't finish it by myself, but I'll do it. SMB99thx my edits 22:30, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I can finish it, maybe more people can help along the way. I'll message the draft here once I have created the lead. CyclonicStormYutu (talk) 13:08, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@SMB99thx: I will leave the rest of the lead to you, I will do Meteorological history, you do the first section of Impacts, I do the second, and vice versa. Also, here it is: Cyclone Rhonda

The lead is done, CyclonicStormYutu. SMB99thx my edits 07:59, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

With all due respect SMB99thx and CyclonicStormYutu, I don't think Rhonda needs an article. Many Australian region storms get retired for no reason, even if they caused no deaths and minimal impact. Feel free to work on Tropical Cyclone Josie or another storm. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 12:48, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Rhonda was strong for a tropical cyclone in the Southern Hemisphere in the month of May. CyclonicStormYutu (talk) 12:54, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Destroyeraa Thanks. I would like to ask: Did you ever make visits to Wikipedia:WikiProject Tropical cyclones/Article requests page? I frequently visited this page, and Cyclone Rhonda happens to be listed there. SMB99thx my edits

CyclonicStormYutu It is unfortunate, but your article isn't going to be created. Consider helping us in helping 2018 FT by working in Cyclone Josie or Cyclone Keni. That would be helpful. SMB99thx my edits 13:10, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

SMB99thx, I saw that the Dorian article for the Carolinas had been created. Nice job! I added prose to the SC impacts/aftermath and some pics. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 13:24, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tropical cyclones in 2008

WP:G7 only applies for a redirect after a page move when the mover was the only substantive author to the page. This is not the case. However, WP:G6 may apply. What page is going to be moved here? Dreamy Jazz talk to me | my contributions 12:24, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Tropical cyclones in 2008. SMB99thx my edits 12:55, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Since you didn't move it after I replied, I copied the draft into the article by myself. After all, I was the one who turned the draft from "Tropical cyclones in 2020 by JTWC" into "Tropical cyclones in 2008". SMB99thx my edits 23:21, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I was trying to get rid of the “Tropical cyclones in 2020 by JTWC” for months, but other pointed out that behavior was WP:BITEy and asked me to stop. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 00:20, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Destroyeraa (a little bit of a fun fact) I see Tropical cyclones in 2020 by JTWC draft will not ever have a chance at making the cut. To give this draft a "second life" I changed the concept of this draft from that into Tropical cyclones in 2008, which is in line with project goals. As such, "Tropical cyclones in 2008" is the first tropical cyclones by year article to be ever created by an IP (Tropical cyclones in 2013 should have been created by an IP, but unfortunately it didn't survive), though not inline with IP's intentions.
