Carolyn Presutti is a Voice of America (VOA) television correspondant based in Washington, DC. [1]

Education and Career

Presutti attended the University of Akron until 1984.[2] After graduating, she was an anchor and reporter for WFMJ-TV in Youngstown, Ohio from 1985 to 1988. [3] In 1989, she was a state capital reporter for WTVRTV in Richmond, Virginia.[4] She reported for Baltimore, Maryland's WMAR-TV in 1991[5] and has worked in the Washington metropolitan area for since. In 2007, Presutti joined VOA.[6]

Presutti appeared as a television news anchor in the Netflix series House of Cards[7] and as the wife of a U.S. senator in the HBO series Veep.[8] After appearing as an extra in the 2010 movie How Do You Know, she wrote an article about her experience for Washingtonian Magazine.[9]

Awards

In 2011, Presutti was a nominee for the 38th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards for her work on the AARP program, My Generation.[10] American Muslim Portraits, a series of which Presutti was a creator, won the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association (CAPBA) Best in Show and Outstanding Digital Feature Project distinctions.
