Luka Magnotta also known as Eric Clinton Newman (born July 24, 1984 in Scarborough, Ontario) is a Canadian and European model born to Canadian parents with Russian heritage.Best known for his pornographic films and adult content magazines. He started acting in erotic films in 2003 after having worked as a stripper and glamour model. Was Toronto's Fabboy [1] 2004 and 2007 in Fab Magazine. [2] Magnotta also came to international attention ostensibly as a real video blogger who achieved massive infamousity on YouTube, a popular video sharing website. In his first month he attracted 300,000 angry viewers to his videos. Since, his video blogs have grown to over 2,000 000 objectors. [3][4] As of 2007 Magnotta has had five cosmetic surgerys and has openly spoke about his desire to "look and be James Dean [5]Luka was a guest on New York's WAMC Radio Station speaking about himself, his modeling career, cosmetic surgery addiction and fascination with Dean among other things. [6] Then again on September 24th he was a call in guest on Coast to Coast AM with fill in host Rollye James speaking about transforming himself into his idol for the sixth time. Even after haveing experienced Anesthesia awareness[7].

Luka Magnotta after being confronted by rumors he was dating Canadian serial killer Karla Homolka gave an interview to the Toronto Sun. Magnotta told the media outlet he had nothing to do with Homolka and would like to be left in peace, he mentioned nothing negative about Homolka and hopes she will also be left alone. [8] Magnotta currently resides in Toronto.

Early life and background

As a young child Eric was very shy and withdrawn. Raised by his maternal grandmother, he was home schooled until grade six. Once he entered public school in grade six he was very intimidated by the other children and kept to himself. Eric was made fun of because he would wear the same clothing almost daily (blue t-shirt and black pants) since his family was too poor to buy him new outfits.[9]

Modelling and Films

He took advantage of his looks and started to work as an exotic dancer in the Toronto Nightclub "Remingtons" but soon left because he was disputing with the management. Eric then went to Los Angeles and was fascinated with the entertainment industry, so once he returned to Canada he worked briefly as an adult webcam model, taking his clothing off for the camera. Eric also started to pose for adult magazines to pay the bills and enjoyed it. When a few adult studios convinced him to try his hand in adult films he could not turn down the offer. Eric has always stated that he was not gay, "It was only for the pay" He stated he acted in 14 adult "Bisexual and straight" films. All Eric's "friends" and "family" betrayed him he says and were using him only for his money and this gave Eric a dark disposition on life.All this stress made Eric spirl downwards and he became diagnosed with depresion. Eric never wanted to be like his father, who was addicted his whole life to prescription drugs. He decided to change his life with the help of The Church of Scientology and with a new look and a new legal name he choose Luka Magnotta.[10][11] Luka Magnotta is still modelling and is deciding what to do next with his career in the entertainment industry. In April 2007 he was a runner up on the Canadian male model reality show "Cover Guy" airing on Out Tv, however disputes with the show's judges forced him to leave.[12][13] Luka also has a large following on his [14]myspace page and in considered an internet celebrity.
