I RETIRED IN THE MULTIVERSE

This user left Wikipedia in an alternate universe...

I am not in good health, which, besides being busy with real life, is one reason you will not see me on Wikipedia as much as I used to be on it. Commonly, I might disappear for two to four days, which gives some just enough time to rejoice and carry on with detrimental edits in my absence. But just know that, if I haven't yet kicked the bucket, it is a certainty that I'll be back. So taking all of this into account, remember that I might not reply to queries swiftly, and that I might sometimes be a little "off" (as in not the Flyer you are accustomed to).

You can read more about me here.

If you leave a message at my talk page, I will usually reply on my talk page instead of at yours. If you are a registered user, you can also email me (see the left side of the top of my talk page).

And for the record, to any passerby not familiar with my user talk page, Template:I retired in the multiverse is not meant to indicate anything about my health. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 21:16, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'd hate to see you go as well, Flyer. Hopefully things change for the better. Snuggums (talk / edits) 04:48, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I know that I thanked you all via WP:Echo and above, but I'm taking the time to thank you again. "Thank you" applies to any future posts in this section as well. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 06:26, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there

Just a quick check in with you. I have been reading so much about JonBenet and haven't found conclusive evidence that the death is ruled a homicide. If it wasn't the autopsy, who stipulated that it was ruled a homicide? I tried searching on that and wasn't finding sources.

Thanks so much!--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:28, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, never mind - I found that the current police chief calls it an active homicide investigation.--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:52, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
CaroleHenson, do you mind if we discuss this on the article talk page, looking over sources and stuff? Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:54, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
CaroleHenson, oh I see that you stated never mind. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:56, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of content w/o good reason

On Sexual fantasy about 19 months ago this was removed with an invalid explanation. Please restore it if you think it appropriate to do so? I don't have access to the reference. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 22:05, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jim1138, I remember seeing that removal. I'm not sure that the removed content was sourced. I'll look into it at a later date. I see that Popcornduff is currently cleaning up the article. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 07:02, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tisane (talk · contribs) as Markshale (talk · contribs)

Alison, on September 20, 2016, I sent you an email about Markshale being an editor to keep an eye on, the same day I left him a note on his talk page asking him if he wouldn't mind being open about which past editor he is. I take it that you didn't do a checkuser run on him, or, if you did, you didn't find anything connecting the two? You recognized this one as a Tisane sock the day before, but maybe you didn't run a check on the account for other socks? Or maybe no other socks were found on that IP? Whatever the case, I am 100% certain that Markshale is Tisane. If anyone would rather I take this to an official WP:Sockpuppet investigation, I will, but Alison has data on Tisane that other checkusers do not. I would rather not divulge these easy ways to recognize Tisane here out in the open since he will likely try to change his editing style afterward, but the following is how I know that Markshale is Tisane:

  • For one, we know that Tisane is interested in law topics and child sexual abuse topics. The first few edits by Markshale show that he is as well; see here, here and here.
  • Tisane has a habit of signing his edit summaries with a dash. This is seen here, here, here, here and here.
  • Now while some other editors have signed their edit summaries with a dash, Tisane does something that I don't think I've seen any other editor consistently do... He has a unique habit of adding an asterisk (*) to his edit summary when adding something to the See also section or when making a similar edit. See here, here, here and here for examples.
  • What led me to immediately recognize Markshale as Tisane is that after I'd recently noticed that Tisane, while editing as Yev Yev, created the Types of rapist article a month after I kind of opposed it, I saw that Markshale recently created the Sex robot article a month after I opposed it. Tisane does stuff like this, keep track of my edits and then goes against them by creating an article or similar, because he feels that I'm not doing all of what needs to be done for sexual topics. That (in my own words) I have gotten lazy. He's stated this on my talk page. Of course, laziness is not what has me and others disagreeing with a lot of Tisane's edits.

Markshale is free to come to my talk page to deny being Tisane, but when I'm 100% sure of an editor being a sock, that's it. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 05:58, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Get well soon

Hello Flyer22 Reborn. I'm sorry to hear about your health. I don't know what you are going through but I wish you happiness and hope you have a tranquil transition back to good health. I see that you've said you'll be back and I certainly hope so. This place won't be the same without you (which is a more uplifting way to say: Your absence will be felt and it will make many sad). Since that's a rather depressing way of ending a message, I'm going to write this additional line right here and hope you find it funny :) —Human10.0 (talk) 15:05, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My good twin says the food's delicious in there and it's very comfortable and quiet (except in the corner with the air hockey table) and there are hardly any bad odors. And I'm pretty sure it's a sock-free environment, which is fine since it's warm enough to go barefoot. Rivertorch's Evil Twin (talk) 22:27, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

LGBT

Hi and thanks for the tweak to the LGBT article. I feel the content is justified as an explanation of complexities around the use of different initialisms. Just saying some people like it while others don't has been inadequate. Trankuility (talk) 05:04, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just watch him, Flyer22

He'll solve equations with his right hand, and type in new usernames with his left.

Even L was humble enough to acknowledge he only had enough evidence to prove there was a 5 percent chance that Light Yagami was Kira. You just got overconfident, to the point of being cocky about your deduction skills.

Better luck next time. -- I'll take a potato chip and EAT it (talk) 23:07, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stalker/banned editor (who further proves my case by showing up here trying to gloat), given how brilliant L of Death Note is, and that he was, in fact, correct that Light is Kira, despite failing to prove it, I am flattered by the comparison. Better luck next time indeed. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 23:34, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Note: Just for better context, the above sock partly commented the way he did because of this edit summary I made. As the above stalker sock knows, I am a fan of that anime. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 07:55, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Socking

Flyer, I have zero experience in this area, but am 99.9% certain that the editor is socking. Do you have check user tights? And if not can you direct me to a sympathetic admin?--Wlmg (talk) 03:53, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't feel comfortable filing the usual public case at WP:SPI (e.g., the evidence includes personal information or might run counter to the principles of WP:DENY), then I believe that you can send an e-mail message to functionaries-en@lists.wikimedia.org with the necessary information. WhatamIdoing (talk) 16:20, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh, now I know why I avoid these sorts of things. I do not believe my case is meritorious enough. Without going into any detail it only involves a single edit (the only edit the new user made) that is picture uploaded as own work when it is in fact a crop from a TED talk. Maybe I'll whine about a simple copyright vios. I'll go that way if at all when I get around to it. --Wlmg (talk) 17:12, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
