The National School of Applied Sciences of Fez (French: École Nationale des Sciences Appliquées de Fès; ENSAF) is a Moroccan public engineering school based in Fez. Established in 2005, it operates under the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University and is a key member of the national network of Écoles nationales des sciences appliquées (ENSA).[1]

Admission and Curriculum

[edit]

Admission to ENSAF is highly competitive and follows a multi-tier selection process:

  • Preparatory Cycle: High school graduates are admitted through a selective national entrance exam (Concours) following a pre-selection based on academic performance.
  • Engineering Cycle: Candidates can join via the National Common Entrance Exam (CNC) or through specialized internal competitions for holders of undergraduate technical degrees such as DEUG or DUT.[2]

The school offers a five-year program culminating in the State Engineer degree (Diplôme d'Ingénieur d'État) in various technical fields including Computer Science, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, and Mechatronics.[3]

Student Life and Corporate Relations

[edit]

The school is known for its vibrant student community, coordinated by the Association des Elèves Ingénieurs (ADEI).[4]

ENSAF maintains strong ties with the industrial sector, notably through the annual Forum ENSA-Entreprises, which serves as a recruitment and networking platform for future engineers.[5] Students also actively participate in national technology competitions like "Innov'IT," focusing on educational innovation.[6]
