The 2007 Balashikha shooting is a mass murder where four people (one male and three female) were shot to death by 31-year-old Alexandr Lyovin (Александр Лёвин). He was later sentenced to life in prison.

Shooting

At 12:00 a.m. on April 23 Lyovin went to Krupskaya Street house №8. He was a hired killer, and his contract ordered him to shoot Nina Kuznetsova (Нина Кузнецова), 49 years old, with a handmade pistol provided to him. Alexander shot the woman in the head. As he tried to run away, he suddenly met Valida Halilova (Валида Халилова) 30 years old and gunned her down. He ran downstairs but met Sergey Glashko (Сергей Глашко) 43 years old. Lyovin shot him trying to escape. Near the exit, he met Lidiya Vasilyeva (Лидия Васильева) 70 years old.[1] She became the last victim of this shooting. After that Lyovin escaped. A video camera filmed this massacre; Lyovin's face was well seen on this video clip.[2]
