The 40th Daytime Emmy Awards, honoring the best in daytime television programming from January 1, 2012 until December 31, 2012, will be held on June 16, 2013 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The awards will broadcast on HLN.[2] The drama pre-nominees were announce on February 27, 2013.[4] The nominations were announced on Good Morning America on May 1, 2013.[5] The Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony will be held on June 14, 2013.[1] Weather anchor of Good Morning America Sam Champion will be hosting the show with AJ Hammer, also hosting the pre-show with Robin Meade.[3]
