47293 Masamitsu (1999 WO) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on November 16, 1999 by A. Nakamura at Kuma Kogen.

It takes its name from Masamitsu Nakamura, Japanese amateur astronomer and medical technologist, co-discoverer of comet C/1994 N1 (Nakamura-Nishimura-Machholz)
