49 Camelopardalis is a yellow-white F-type main sequence dwarf with a mean apparent magnitude of +6.50. It is approximately 265 light years from Earth. It is classified as an Alpha2 Canum Venaticorum type variable star and its brightness varies from magnitude +6.43 to +6.48 in B with a period of 4.29 days.
