Taylor Upsahl (born November 28, 1998), best known by her stage name UPSAHL, is an American singer-songwriter.

Early life

Upsahl was born on November 28, 1998. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Upsahl is the daughter of Mike Upsahl, a veteran of tours that include Surf Through Death, High Horse and the post-hardcore group Stereotyperider. Her grandmother and grandfather were music teachers, and she began playing the piano and guitar at the age of five. Upsahl began writing songs as a sixth grader and, using her full name, began self-releasing more acoustic-minded music at 14. She graduated from Arizona School for the Arts in 2017.[1]

Career

She released her first pop single, "Can You Hear Me Now" in 2017 under the stage name UPSAHL, from there she became known in parts of the United States and Europe for her compositions with a style that unites the thoughtful alternative for adults, and playful pop.[1][2]

On March 8, 2019, she released her debut EP called "Hindsight 20/20," along with her single "Drugs."

In 2020, Upsahl released "12345SEX" on her YouTube music channel.[3] She also composed and sung backing vocals on the Dua Lipa song "Good In Bed".[4]
