Rubas (Russian: Рубас) is a rural locality (a selo) and the administrative centre of Rubassky Selsoviet, Derbentsky District, Republic of Dagestan, Russia. The population was 3,099 as of 2010.[2] There are 44 streets.[3]

Geography

Rubas is located 19 km south of Derbent (the district's administrative centre) by road. Aglobi and Kommuna are the nearest rural localities.[4]

Nationalities

Tabasarans, Azerbaijanis, Lezgins and Aghuls live there.
