Rig-e Kaput (Template:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Rīg-e Kapūt; also known as Rīg-e Kapūtī)[3] is a village in Bampur-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Bampur County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,389 in 406 households, when it was in the former Bampur District of Iranshahr County.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,423 people in 692 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,491 people in 834 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
On 13 August 2017, Bampur District was separated from Iranshahr County to establish Bampur County, which was further divided into two districts, four rural districts, and three cities.[6]
