Qarun District (Template:Lang-fa) is in Dezpart County, Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Mallah.[3]
At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Donbaleh Rud-e Jonubi Rural District of the former Dehdez District of Izeh County) was 6,908 in 1,261 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 5,920 people in 1,267 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, there were 4,888 inhabitants in 1,181 households.[2]
In July 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of the new Dezpart County and divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Dehdez as its capital and only city.[3]
