Killer Nunatak (71°54′S 160°28′E / 71.900°S 160.467°E / -71.900; 160.467) is a granite nunatak, 2,080 metres (6,820 ft) high, near the center of the Emlen Peaks, 5 nautical miles (9 km) northwest of Mount Phelan, in the Usarp Mountains of Antarctica. It was named by the northern party of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition, 1963–64, for its distinctive outline resembling the dorsal fin of a killer whale.[1]
