Vladimir Augusto Gessen Rodríguez (Vladimir Gessen) is a Venezuelan politician, journalist and psychologist.

He graduated as a licentiate in psychology from Central University of Venezuela, Caracas with a degree in industrial psychology, completed postgraduate in clinical psychopathology from the University of Barcelona, Spain and received a Doctor Honoris Causa from the Bicentenary University of Aragua. He has done Master's studies in social sciences at the International University of Florida and FLACSO.[1]

He served as a Deputy to the Congress of the Republic of Venezuela [es] (1984-1989, 1989-1994)[citation needed] and Minister of Tourism (1990-1991).[citation needed]
