David John Ewins FRS FREng[1] is a British mechanical engineer, and Director of the Bristol Laboratory for Advanced Dynamics Engineering (BLADE) at University of Bristol.[2]

Life

He studied mechanical engineering at Imperial College London, and studied for a PhD at the University of Cambridge.[citation needed][when?] He was Professor of Vibration Engineering at Imperial College London.[3]

He is acting director of the AgustaWestland UTC.[4]

He was appointed a Fellow[5] of the Royal Academy of Engineering[6]
