Ainsworthia is a genus of two species of plants in the family Apiaceae,[1] all of which are endemic to Southwest Asia, Cyprus, Israel[2] and European Turkey.[citation needed]
Ainsworthia was included in the genus Tordylium by El-Aisawi & Jury (1998).[3] As of February 2015[update], The Plant List kept Ainsworthia and Tordylium separate, the two species placed in Ainsworthia being:[4][1]
- Ainsworthia cordata (Jacq.) Boiss.
- Ainsworthia trachycarpa Boiss.
- Names brought to synonymy
- A. elegans, a synonym for Tordylium elegans
