The Association for Neuro-Linguistic Programming (ANLP) is a UK organisation founded in 1985 by Frank Kevlin[1] to promote neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Since 2005, the organisation is led by Karen Moxom as Managing Director.[2]

Associate membership is open to anyone interested in NLP and Professional membership is open to holders of recognised NLP qualifications, which include a minimum number of face to face training hours.

The ANLP publishes Rapport magazine quarterly as both a PDF and in print format, which is available to non-members by subscription, and has published[3] the proceedings of a NLP Research Conference held at the University of Surrey in 2008. A second conference was held at Cardiff University in 2010[4] and a third at the University of Hertfordshire in 2012. Volumes 2 and 3 of the Research Journal have subsequently been published (in 2011 and 2013 respectively).

ANLP were awarded Small Business of the Year in the Hertfordshire Business Awards 2009.[5]

It was a member organisation[6] of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) to 2002 when the role was taken over by its daughter organization,[7] the Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy and Counselling Association (NLPtCA).[8][9] The NLPtCA is a founder member of the European Association for Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapy,[10] a European wide accrediting organisation (EWAO) for NLPt within the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP).[11]
