John Winchcombe, also known as John Smallwood (1488/89-1557), of Newbury, Berkshire, was an English Member of Parliament for Great Bedwyn in 1545 and for Cricklade in 1547.[1] His country estate was Bucklebury House, between Newbury and Reading, Berkshire. He was the father of John Winchcombe (died 1574) and his great great great grandson became the first Winchcombe baronet.
