Pappu Hossain (Bengali: পাপ্পু হোসাইন  ; born in 7 April 1999),[1] is a Bangladeshi professional footballer who currently plays as a Goalkeeper for Saif Sporting Club in Bangladesh Premier League.[2] He is a cousin of national team player Sohel Rana.[3]

International Career

In October 2019, Pappu gets his first-ever senior national team call up for a FIFA friendly against Bhutan.[3][4]

In November 2019, Pappu gets a U-23 call up for 2019 South Asian Games.[5][6][7]

Club Career

Pappu Hossain started his senior career with Arambagh KS.[2][8] He joined Saif Sporting Club in 2017,[9][10] where he won the award for best goalkeeper in the Bangladesh Premier League from the Bangladesh Football Supporters Forum.[11][12] He was also part of Saif's 2018 AFC Cup qualification squad.[13] During 2019 he was loaned to Dhaka Mohammedan.[4][14]
