Benoît Lahaye is a Grower Champagne producer. Lahaye himself took over his family's domaine in the Montagne de Reims[1] in 1993.[2] The estate has 4.8 hectares of vines, and became organic-certified in 2003, and biodynamic-certified in 2010.[3] (Certified organic vineyards account for only around 1% of the total land in the Champagne wine region.)[2] The vineyards are mainly (88%) planted with Pinot Noir.[3] Most of the vines are in Bouzy, and there is a hectare in Ambonnay and a bit of old vine Chardonnay in the Côte des Blancs.[3]
