Cricket team
The Southern Vipers is an English women's Twenty20 cricket team based in Southampton , Hampshire that competes in England women's Twenty20 competition, the Women's Cricket Super League .[ 1] The Vipers wear an orange uniform and play their home matches at the Ageas Bowl .
They are currently coached by former England Women's captain and former player Charlotte Edwards .[ 2]
The Vipers won the inaugural Women's Cricket Super League , winning all but one of their group games, and then defeating Western Storm in the inaugural final day held at Chelmsford by 7 wickets on 21 August. Suzie Bates was named player of the tournament.
