Aptyxis syracusana, common name Syracusan Spindle Shell, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Fasciolariidae, the spindle snails, the tulip snails and their allies.[2]

Description

The shell of an adult Aptyxis syracusana can be as large as 30–60 millimetres (1.2–2.4 in).

Distribution

This species is native to the Mediterranean Sea and Canary Islands.
