Bani is a village and a tehsil in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, India.[1] The place is best known for Shakti Mata Mandir which has a very rich history. The place has many legendary temples like Jorian Wali Mata, Doullah Mata, Taji Mata, Galu Mata etc. The place is 'Land of Gods'.
The village has huge potential for tourism with places like Sarthal, Dhaggar, Khajiar, Gatti Dam etc. The place has a glacier known as Vaskund which tributes Sewa River.
