Alexander Hare McLintock
Alexander Hare McLintock, CBE (14 April 1903–1968) was a New Zealand teacher, university lecturer, historian and artist. He was born in Gore, Southland, New Zealand of Scottish heritage, which he remained proud of all his life. He edited and authored the three-volume Encyclopaedia of New Zealand (1966) his final & perhaps his most remembered work.
