Yaro Oraal (English: Someone Unknown) is a 1978 Malayalam film written, produced and directed by V. K. Pavithran. It was his debut as a director. It is one of the first experiments in Malayalam film which introduced a genre of personal cinema that is deliberately anti-realist.[1] Employing a surrealist narrative, it dealt with cynicism about death.[2] The film's music is composed by acclaimed film director G. Aravindan.
