Achthuizen is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee, and lies about 17 km south of Spijkenisse.

In 2001, the village of Achthuizen had 740 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.14 km², and contained 320 residences.[1] The slightly larger statistical district "Achthuizen" has a population of around 900.[2] The village has a working windmill, Windlust, which is operated on a volunteer basis.[3]
