Akaike Station (赤池駅, Akaike-eki) is a railway station in the city of Gujō, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, operated by the third sector railway operator Nagaragawa Railway.


Akaike Station is a station of the Etsumi-Nan Line, and is 36.3 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Mino-Ōta.

Station layout[edit]

Akaike Station has one ground-level side platform serving a single bi-directional track. The station is unattended.

Akaike Station was opened on July 1, 1952 as Gujō-Akaike Station (郡上赤池駅). Operations were transferred from the Japan National Railway (JNR) to the Nagaragawa Railway on December 11, 1986. The station was renamed to its present name on that date[1]
