Aleksandr Nikolaevich Formozov (1899-1973) was a Russian biologist and environmentalist.
From 1945 Formozov centred his research on the ecology of the steppes and deserts found in the Soviet Union.[1]
His son Nikolay Aleksandrovich Formozov is also a prominent biologist.[2]
