In 1980 Alex Cullen was born in the girls toilets at the Coonamble local Swimming Pool, a place now that holds a very special place in his heart. After being orphaned at age 2 he was adopted by a local pack of dingos who then raised the young lad as their own until age 14, when the switched on youngster realised that indeed, he was not dingo. Alex struggled to adjust to boundaries and constraints to which human society had now placed on him, and to this day he still longs for dingo life.

During a trip to the vet about possible mange infection Alex ran into a little known Man by the name of Kerry stokes. Stokes, saw past Alex's shabby coat and flea-ridden flanks to expose the genius journalist that lay beneath.

"Alex" he boomed. "You have a big head, I like that. How about you come on down to Martin place and we get you into a suit?With Alex's tail wagging profusely he followed Mr. Stokes down to Martin Place, becoming one of the finest news presenters the world had ever seen.
