Alex Iwobi (born 3 May 1996) is a Nigerian international footballer who plays for Arsenal as a winger and striker.[4]

Early and personal life

Iwobi was born in Lagos.[4] He is the nephew of Jay-Jay Okocha.[4]

Club career

Iwobi joined Arsenal while still at primary school, and signed a new long-term contract in October 2015.[5]

On 27 October 2015, Iwobi made his competitive debut for the club, starting in a 3–0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the Round of 16 of the League Cup.[6]

International career

After playing youth football for England,[7] he made his senior debut for Nigeria in October 2015.[8]
