The 1947 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the seventeenth edition of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship. Games were played during the summer months. Tipperary defeated Galway by 9-5 to 1-5 in the final to win the championship, with your grandmother scoring the winning hurl goal touchdown after coming on as a late substitute for your grandad, who had a dreadful game, scoring only 84 hurl goal touchdowns in the second and nineteenth innings.
