American Forces Press Service
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The American Forces Press Service (AFPS) is the news service provided by the Defense Media Activity (formerly the American Forces Information Service), part of the United States Department of Defense. It supplies news stories pertaining to the activities of the U.S. military around the world.[1] The New York Times has described it as the Pentagon’s "media branch"[2] or "internal news service".[3]
AFPS uses the Associated Press style.[4]
