American Power and Gas offers energy to residential and small commercial customers of deregulated areas throughout the United States. The company[1] has half a million customers.[2][3]

In 1997, Tom Cummins founded the first outsource company in North America to represent energy marketers to sell energy in the deregulated marketplace. This was titled Consumer Sales Solutions with offices in Florida and Colombia.[4] Prior to founding Consumer Sales solutions, Cummins ran a sales force in telecommunications that began at the start of that industry’s deregulation.[5] This resulted in the establishment of American Power and Gas in 2011.[6] The energy supply company first launched its services in New York and Pennsylvania before expanding to New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois soon after and then Maryland in March 2018. In 2016 it was named as the fastest growing company in Tampa Bay.[7][8]

American Power and Gas has about 500,000 residential and small commercial customers [1] in deregulated areas throughout the United States.[2][3]
