Ana Irene Delgado (born 18 April 1982)[1] was the Panamanian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and Iceland as well as Panama's Representative to the International Maritime Organization from November 2011 to 2014.[2][3][4]
Education
Delgado completed a B.Sc. in Law and Political Science at Santa Maria La Antigua University in 2004 before gaining an LL.M. at New York University School of Law in 2006. She also possesses a B.Sc. in International Affairs with Specialization in Economics from Florida State University and an Advanced Professional Certificate in Law, Business, Finance and Economics from the Stern School of Business. She is fluent in Spanish, English and French.[5]
Career
Delgado returned to Panama to become a partner at her father's law firm of Solis, Endara, Delgado & Guevara in August 2006, where she worked up until her ambassadorial appointment until June 2014.[6][7]
Personal life
A keen fencer and equestrian, Delgado has also represented Panama in fencing in the Bolivarian Games, Fencing World Cups and the Central American and Caribbean Games.[8] She continues to train at the Lansdowne Club with members of the British Olympic team.[9]
