Andrey Andreyevich Andreyev
Andrei Andreevich Andreyev (Russian: Андрей Андреевич Андреев) (1895-1970) was a Soviet politician.
He was the son of a peasant who became a munitions worker. During World War One he joined the Bolsheviks.[1]
He was a member of the Politburo from 1932 until 1952. He was a speaker of the Russian Federation Supreme Soviet and later headed the parties Control Commission (until 1952). Dismissed from Politburo in 1952, he remained a vice-premier of the Soviet government but ultimately lost his positions in 1953 after the Central Committee Plenary Meeting (held immediately after Beria's fall) where he blamed Beria in criticizing Stalin (in other words, declared his disapproval of the party policy towards "destalinization").
