History and profile[edit]

The magazine was founded in 1984 on the ashes of the monthly Annabella, a famous magazine closed in the 1980s.[2][3] The publisher was RCS Periodici,[1] part of RCS MediaGroup.[4] Anna was published on a weekly basis.[3] In 2007 its title was renamed as A.[3] The magazine had many sister publications, including another women's magazine Amica.[4][5] In 2013 it ceased publication.[3]
