April Michelle Bowlby (born July 30, 1980) is an American actress, best known for her roles as Stacy Barrett on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva (2009–present) and as Kandi Harper, Alan's second ex-wife, on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men (2005–2007, 2012, 2013).[1][2]

Biography

Bowlby was born in Vallejo, California before moving to Manteca, California as a child and attending East Union High School. She studied ballet, French, and marine biology at Moorpark College, and began a modelling career before deciding to pursue acting.[1] She studied drama with Ivana Chubbuck and secured a role the television series Two and a Half Men within months of her first Hollywood audition. In this role, she played in the recurring role as Kandi.[3]

Bowlby is well-known for her role as Stacy Barrett in Drop Dead Diva (2009).[4]

In television, Bowlby also played a recurring role as Meg in How I Met Your Mother[5] and has made appearances in CSI,[6] Psych, CSI: NY, and Freddi.[7]

In film, Bowlby has made appearances in the Drama, From Prada to Nada (2011),[8] Comedy, The Slammin' Salmon (2009),[9][10] and All Roads Lead Home (2008).[11]
