Arjun Kumar Gupta

Arjun Kumar Gupta is a distinguished university professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Gupta received his bachelor's degree in statistics from Banara Hindu University in India, and also holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Poona University. He recived his doctoral degree from Purdue University, and has been at Bowling Green State University since 1976.

His many lecture engagements include talks on statistical methods for the U.S. Air Force. He has contributed as author or editor to 18 books on statistics, and has written more than 400 articles. He is a member of the American Statistical Association, the Institute of Statisticians, and the Royal Statistical Society of England. In 1989 he was elected as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.[1] He received the Olscamp Research Award in 1990.
