These are the official results of the Men's 50 kilometres walk event at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. The competition was held on 3 September. This distance was removed from the program following these Olympics, it was included back in the 1980 Summer Olympics. There were no heats with this event, it was held as a finals only event.
