This company was established in 1974. It concentrated on self-published books, including "The Lizard of Oz." In 1993 the company expanded to sell public-domain electronic texts on PC diskettes, primarily for the blind, and later, book collections on CD-ROM and DVD. Also made available was an electronic newsletter, Internet-on-a-Disk, which discussed Internet trends and pointed to Internet resources for business and education. The company is now known as Samizdat Express and publishes public domain ebooks on Barnes & Noble, Apple, and Kobo.
