Belarus is scheduled to compete at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom from July 27 to August 12, 2012.

Athletics

Belarussian athletes have so far acheived qualifying standards in the following athletics events (up to a maximum of 3 athletes in each event at the 'A' Standard, and 1 at the 'B' Standard):[1][2]

  • Women's 800 m
  • Women's marathon
Qualified two athletes at the A Standard
  • Men's shot put
  • Women's long jump
  • Women's shot put
Qualified one athlete at the A Standard
  • Men's marathon
  • Men's hammer throw
  • Women's 400 m
  • Women's 100 m hurdles
  • Women's hammer throw
Qualified one (or more) athletes at the B Standard
  • Men's 20 km race walk
  • Men's 50 km race walk
  • Women's triple jump
  • Women's heptathlon
  • Women's 20 km race walk

Football

Belarus men's football team qualified for the event after win a play-off of the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.[3]

  • Men's team event – 1 team of 21 players

Shooting

Belarus has ensured three quota places in the shooting events at the Games.[4]

  • Men's 50 m rifle prone - 1 quota place
  • Men's 10 m air pistol - 1 quota place
  • Women's 10 m air pistol - 1 quota place

Swimming

Belarussian swimmers have so far acheived qualifying standards in the following events (up to a maximum of 2 swimmers in each event at the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT), and 1 at the Olympic Selection Time (OST)):[5][6]

Women
  • 50 m freestyle - 2 (or more) swimmers have achieved the OQT.

Table tennis

Belarus has qualified two athletes for singles table tennis events. Based on their world rankings as of 16 May 2011 Vladimir Samsonov has qualified for the men's event and Viktoria Pavlovich for the women's.[7]
