Benzenetriols or trihydroxybenzenes are aromatic chemical compounds and polyphenols in which three hydroxyl groups are substituted onto a benzene ring.

These three molecules have the same molecular formula C6H6O3 (molar mass : 126.11 g/mol, exact mass : 126.031694).

The enzyme pyrogallol hydroxytransferase uses 1,2,3,5-tetrahydroxybenzene and 1,2,3-trihydroxybenzene (pyrogallol), whereas its two products are 1,3,5-trihydroxybenzene (phloroglucinol) and 1,2,3,5-tetrahydroxybenzene. This enzyme can be found in Pelobacter acidigallici..[1][2]
