Billy Bush is an American musician, audio engineer and record producer, best known as the sound engineer and live tech for the Madison, Wisconsin-based alternative rock band Garbage[1] and the co-producer of albums Help Wanted by Eric Avery and Heart Burns by Tom Gabel. Bush's studio engineering work includes Foster the People, Muse, Garbage, The Offspring and Beck,[2] and also for film and video game soundtracks including Batman: Arkham City.[3]

Since the 2000s Bush has mixed for The Subways, Natasha Bedingfield, The Naked & Famous, Lunakate and Ilse DeLange's Live at Ahoy to 5.1. Bush produced, engineered and mixed Fink's "Perfect Darkness". He lives since 2007 in Los Angeles, where Bush established his own studio at Atwater Village, Red Razor Sounds.[4][5]

Bush was hired by Garbage in 1995 to help reconcile the band's technology needs with their live performance for the first concert tour. Originally contracted as only a guitar technician, he was promoted to production manager and overall live engineer as Bush showcased his technical expertise.[6] He remained with the group and performed audio engineering duties on each of their subsequent albums, as well as working on records alongside Butch Vig engineering remixes for Beck, Alanis Morissette, Limp Bizkit, Korn and Ash. Billy Bush is represented exclusively by Global Positioning Services in Santa Monica. In 2010, Bush married Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson.[7]
