Bird & Bird is an international law firm.[1]

Twenty years ago Bird & Bird had an office in London with small offices in Brussels and Hong Kong[citation needed]. After a period of rapid international expansion, today it has 29 offices across 19 countries[citation needed]. Of the firm's 29 offices, 22 were launched since 2000 and well over half of the firm’s partners are based outside the UK.[citation needed]
On the 12 January 1856, at the age of 40 William Frederick Wratislaw Bird was admitted to Gray's Inn, the only surviving son of George Ryder Bird.[2]
In 2017 it loses negligence appeal over £26m property.[3][4]
