Bob Thompson[1] (1968-) is a British writer and producer best known for co-creating the hugely successful Bionicle intellectual property for the Lego Company and producing the original multi award-winning Lego Bionicle movies.


Thompson is the founder of Cardiff based Good Story Productions,[2] a film and TV production studio with multi-platform expertise, Thompson formerly worked at the BBC and BBC Worldwide.

Notable works[edit]

In 2003 Bob Thompson was executive producer, and one of the story writers on the first Bionicle movie, Bionicle: Mask of Light.[3]

In 2004 Thompson was executive producer, and story writer for Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui.[4]

In 2005 Thompson was executive producer for Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows.[5]

In 2009 it was announced[6] Thompson would be one of the producers for sci-fi thriller Ultramarines: The Movie.
