Boomerang Media, L.L.C. is an American media company founded by John Engelman and Eric Ellenbogen (founders of Classic Media) and the private equity firm GTCR in 2008. Boomerang Media specializes in global media and video distribution.

Acquisition of Entertainment Rights[edit]

On April 1, 2009, Boomerang Media announced that they would acquire Entertainment Rights[1][2] and on May 11, 2009, it was announced that the subsidiaries and offices of Entertainment Rights would be absorbed under the name, Classic Media, now DreamWorks Classics, due to the DreamWorks Animation acquisition.[3][4]
