Dacer–Corbito double murder case
The Dacer–Corbito double murder case involves unsolved murders in the Philippines during the administration of Joseph Estrada. Salvador "Bubby" Dacer (1934–November 2000) was a publicist from Albay, Philippines. His clients included many of the top figures in Philippine politics, notably Presidents Fidel Ramos and Joseph Estrada.
The ultimate reasons for Dacer's murder remain a subject of debate. Fidel Ramos has publicly accused his successor, Joseph Estrada, of giving the original order — Estrada was mired in a corruption scandal at the time, and according to some reports, Estrada believed Dacer was helping Ramos destabilize his rule.
The murder of Bubby Dacer and Emmanuel Corbito was featured on the 10th episode of the Philippine documentary series Case Unclosed.
